In conversation with Russell Miles, Head of the Made to Measure Channel
Alongside the Clubclass brand our Stuncroft Made to Measure brand has also seen huge investment from a new online ordering platform to Made to Measure ladies wear plus many more styles now available.
Russell has over 43 years of experience working in the clothing industry. For the past 20 years he has worked for Stuncroft’s Made to Measure (MTM) division and has become a very highly trusted and key member of Stuncroft’s management team. His primary role is growing sales and ensuring his division remains profitable but by the nature of MTM his involvement has a very broad spectrum.
From helping the development of Stuncroft’s new online ordering system, which is due to go live this month, to sourcing fabrics and trims that are the mainstay of the MTM service, holding regular factory meetings, ensuring the smooth flow of orders for his customers.
Russell always has an eye on the future, looking to introduce new garment styles, working alongside his technical team thus ensuring positive design principles. Looking at their styling brochure you start to realise how large their pattern portfolio must be, with 3 different jacket constructions, and a product range that includes men’s and ladies’ hunt coats, shooting jackets and plus 2’s and 4’s and highland wear.
Next year Russell has plans to launch a ladies’ and children’s made to order service, including multi measurement adjustments and styling features.
As well as Made to Measure service, Russell also oversees Stuncroft’s white label business. The success of this service has come from their flexible approach in terms of both quantities, style and fit. A small bulk order can be a little as 10 units, meaning even the smallest independent retailer can have their own brand.
